Segway Ninebot has released a firmware update for their ES line of kick scooters.
The latest firmware update will optimize the scooter for hill climbing, braking, engine speaker connectivity and will provide further improvements for firmware updates in the future.
As many devices are connected to their mobile applications, they can transmit anonymous data to Segway. Within this data, their systems detect anomalies that are then studied to learn what causes this behavior. Often a solution is created with their software source code and is applied by their engineers.
After rigorous testing with the new code in place, they release this firmware update to the people they have registered in their system as owners of ES kick scooters.
It is always a good idea to have the latest firmware update installed on your system. This will make sure your vehicle is operating properly as intended by the manufacturer.
To update the firmware on your ES kick scooter, you’ll have to have the Segway mobile application installed on your phone and you’ll need to be connected to your scooter via Bluetooth.
Note: some people have reported problems with the update. If you try and encounter an error message, turn off the scooter and your phone and try again. Some people have reported trying it as many as 5 times before it was successful.
